God, reading Outpost Gallifrey threads from the year before season 1 is fab. "I would imagine that there will be a very healthy Father to Daughter style of relationship [between the Doctor and Rose]". I've seen many a sweeping statement about what Ten and Martha's relationship is going to be like, and I remember the same for Ten and Rose after season 1, but I didn't know it started way back before Nine. And someone seriously claiming the Doctor would never cheat on Susan's granny! Someone who isn't nos!

I'm impressed that there are people arguing even then for Doctor/Rose, I had assumed it'd be all asexualists...

That's what makes it so BRILLIANT. Anyone who travels in time that much SHOULD have a family tree resembling a Klein bottle.

She wasn't being serious :) Also, to play devil's advocate, all we know about Susan's heritage is that she's telepathic, far more intelligent than humans and was seemingly born on Gallifrey - there are still people who dispute she's even the Doctor's real granddaughter (though I disagree with them)

Did you see you were in the paper? Although I don't think that the reporter understood the concept of fanfic, or fandom in general, or even who Buffy is, despite your explanations....

I think we should write an article about something mundanes do with the same 'help, help, I've been transported to the interior of Papua New Guinea and they're weird here' tone and submit it to the paper.

Hee. I was kind of sorry that I had to bail out on nos' lj, because on subjects that aren't related to Rose or the Doctor's sexuality there could be really interesting discussions, but I just didn't need my blood pressure raised by random Rose-hate and stupidity constantly.

This is brilliant in so many ways, really. I love how young/new DW fans can't conceive of anything being different from what THEY believe :D And many of the older ones, as well.
