Dec. 30th, 2005 09:35 pmSo I'm reading another of the Eighth Doctor books, Camera Obscura, which is set in Victorian London. I'd skimmed it, and happened upon a bit where Fitz is fussing at the Doctor, who sarcastically says "yes, Da." Ha, I said to myself, remembering many Spike/Angel fics, I bet this writer's a Spike fan.
Then I get to this bit:
[Anji] was smiling politely at an earnest, puffy-haired young man in a brown suit, William somebody or other, who had been introduced to Chiltern as a poet. He was chattering on at her - probably reciting some of his no doubt ghastly poetry.
*dies of fandom collision*
(Well, vampires do exist in the Who universe, and Dingoes Ate My Baby have already been name-checked in one of the novels, so I suppose anything's possible...)

on 2005-12-31 12:55 am (UTC)Miriam suggests that the Buffyverse is an AU where all of Doctor Who exists. Because. Also, based purely on the telly, Hitchhiker's Guide is in the same universe as DW (Oolon Caluphid writes books in both, the Doctor quotes it in Ghost Light) and so is Quatermass (the British Rocket Group is name-checked twice).
