Sep. 6th, 2005 10:38 pmAnybody feel like delurking? Or pretending to lurk so you can delurk and comment?
I would like to know any of the following: (unnumbered since I don't expect people to answer them all)
- what's the last movie you saw that you really loved or really hated?
- is there a fic/pairing/scenario/cracked out AU, in any fandom or crossover, that plainly needs to be written but so far hasn't, to your great distress?
- show off your favourite icon.
- what's your favourite season finale of any show ever? Feel free to spoil me.
- if there's a TV/movie/book moment that just gets to you, whether to make you bawl your eyes out or fall about laughing, tell me about it. (*) (Note that this is a footnote mark, not a single pierced nipple boobicon.)
- confess your deep fandom shame. It's good for the soul.
- what upcoming movie/TV show/book/comic/whatever are you excited about? (I think we'll take Serenity as a given...)
- who's the best character in The Simpsons? This would be a poll if I weren't lazy. (It's Reverend Lovejoy, of coure, but I would also accept Sideshow Mel or the gestalt entity Carl-and-Lenny.)
- obscure character love yay! Who needs the love, in any fandom?
- and speaking of obscure, tell me what rare fandoms you have, or what you'd like to see good fic for.
(*) My emotionally crippling moments: I mentioned this when
And don't get me started on Lilo and Stitch, because then my rampant immaturity will be out there for all the world to see.
ETA: I'm off to bed so if you don't get an immediate response, remember your hitchhiker's guide advice and don't panic. I'll be answering these tomorrow. But keep your towel on standby just in case.

Personally, I'd love to do up some of Shakespeare's plays with Jossverse characters in the roles... not as prose fiction, but as plays. It's been done, but mostly as a joke. I'd sort of like to make a serious attempt at it.
Although I haven't the foggiest how to go about trying...
show off your favourite icon.

Buffy Season 3, "Graduation Day", the bit where the students all throw off their commencement gowns to display their weaponry. There's a cheese factor, sure, but it's one of the few times I've actually vaulted out of my chair and screamed: "YES!" to the TV.

Pick any scene from "Jaynestown" (Firefly). Still hysterical after repeated viewings.

I kind of *like* Wesley/Fred. Theirloveissotragicanddoomedomg.
what upcoming movie/TV show/book/comic/whatever are you excited about?
Kitchen Confidential. I'm really interested in seeing how NB handles himself there.
who's the best character in The Simpsons?
Mr. Burns. All bow before the power of tapping fingers together.

Hamilton. He *is* well-dressed, and besides, Mister Baldwin is just plain lickable in any incarnation.

"Beauty and the Beast" - that TV show from the 80's. Can't seem to lay hands on archives anymore.
"Neverwhere" and "The Sandman" by Neil Gaiman.

on 2005-09-07 08:01 am (UTC)I downloaded a ton of Great Big Sea songs off Limewire last week. (Err, I mean, I went and bought them in a completely legal manner). I love their music. I listened to Mary Mac far too many times, mostly to tease
Beauty and the Beast was some of the first fic I ever read. I had no idea what the show was even about - I don't think it was broadcast in the UK - but when I was about 12 we didn't have the internet (and it wasn't available in my public library yet) and I couldn't afford zines, so I sent away for zine flyers and rabidly devoured them, whatever the fandom. I used to make up stories about Vincent and Catherine with no clue who they were...
