I'm watching old episodes of Blackadder the Third and trying in vain to reconcile Prince George with Gregory House. It's brain-wrecking. (I don't know how much Blackadder, Jeeves and Wooster and A Bit of Fry and Laurie have been shown outside the UK, but I grew up on wall to wall repeats of them. Suddenly finding Hugh Laurie hot is very disconcerting.)

If I've friended you in the last couple of days, it's probably because I like reading your posts on House - no need to friend back.

This is the first time ever that less than half of my icons have been Buffyverse. It's very sad that this makes me guilty.

I'm searching my pre-teen and adolescent memories for any moment when I looked at Hugh Laurie and thought "swoon!" or "you know, if he scruffed up a bit..." But no, it just totally blindsided me.

I'm wonder if he's just as surprised as anyone else...

Hee!

But he had such goofy, boyish charm! Especially as Lt. the Honorable George Colhurst St. Barleigh.

I might have to rip at least the trial scene from Blackadder Goes Forth just in case anyone hasn't seen in, because George is brilliance itself in that.

Oh, you should!

Drat. THAT'S what I should have watched last night. Blackadder.

(We were very tired, and didn't have time for a movie, so we just popped some Eddie Izzard into the DVD player.)

(Other confessions of Odd Hotness: Rowan Atkinson in Blackadder II, and Chris Barrie as Ace Rimmer. Oh, and see icon.)

(My taste in men is far more suspect than my taste in women, I fear.)

Ooh, yes and yes on Blackadder and Rimmer. (Who's the woobie? I'm very bad at identifying people in static images)

There are a frightening number of Rimmer Mary Sues on ff.net.

Jeff from Coupling. (Richard Coyle)

Rimmer Mary Sues? Oh, dear.

I have Coupling on DVD - being a magpie for stuff with Jack Davenport in it - but I've never managed to watch it. Must add it to the list.

You should watch the first three seasons. The first two are the best, mind, and Jeff...

Jeff is uncomfortably like me in ways that are best not thought about.

Ooh, I haven't seen it and would love to, so I second that!

Though I must admit that I'm mostly responding as an excuse to use my Jeff icon because it spends most of its time sad and gathering icon dust.

I love your Jeff icon.

There really ought to be more reasons to drag Jeff icons out.

Anything to avoid doing an essay on - what the hell's my topic - ah, "correlated multielectron dynamics in ultrafast laser pulse interactions with atoms".

...um, yeah. While I'm getting my science dictionary, anybody know how to rip from DVDs?

I have no idea how to rip DVDs, but I'm with you on the essay pain. Though mine is on "foraminiferal assemblages and paleoceanography of the Upper Cretaceous Niobrara Cycle of southwestern Colorado during Ocean Anoxic Event 3 (~90.4-81.0 Million years ago)"

Yay geek essays!

The trial scene is one of the all time funniest moments in a sitcom, ever.
