Introduction Post

doyleIn honour of Worldwide Journal Commenting Day, and since I've been updating my friendslist, I thought I'd do a post for people who don't normally comment to say hi. Also for people who do normally comment. So, pretty much just for everybpdy, really.
Getting To Know You...
If you're wondering who I am - that's okay, I don't recognise a lot of the names on my flist either, hence this post - I go by Doyle, I'm 22, I'm an astrophysics student and I live in Belfast, Northern Ireland. I'm most active in the Buffyverse fandom, which I can never call Buffy/Angel without getting it mixed up with the pairing, and most of my posts are me blathering on about some aspect of that. The rest of the posts are usually me whinging about an assignment/thesis/presentation/nebula spectrum, though most of those are locked, when I remember. I obsessively-compulsively organize things, so if you're looking for communities, fic recs, whatever, I'll try my best to help you find it or point you to someone who can.
Current favourite pairings and characters are Dawn, Nina, Angel/Spike, Buffy, Riley, Kennedy, Gunn, and I've been thinking a lot about Eve. This changes a lot. I think every character has been my favourite at some point, and it all seems to run nicely on a subconscious rota system. Non-Buffyverse things I watch: Lost, Desperate Housewives, Father Ted, Black Books, Teachers, The Simpsons, Futurama, random bits of anime and Farscape and Battlestar Galactica when my housemates are watching it.

Fandom(s): BtVS, AtS, SG1, Pretender, Trek in various incarnations. There are other things that I am interested in, but I am not really actively involved in any other fandoms.
Favourite pairings/characters/bulletproof fic kinks/anything else you want to tell me: Spuffy is my OTP. But I am a fic whore - write a good story and I'll read just about any pairing. Other pairings that I will actively seek out; Jossiverese - Spander, Spangel, GAyan, Willow/Giles. SG1 - it's All. About. SamNJack. Pretender - I'm a Shipper who believes that MP and J will always circle each other and never really conect, resulting in ongoing angst and pain and UST forever and ever, amen. Trek - I love the OTAP (One truly awful pairing) Sp/Ch 4evah!!11!! I've read some K/S, but I just don't grok. Kinks? I love bitey fic. I enjoy a good H/C fic. I like well-written Mary Sue stories. And NO, "well-written Mary Sue story" is NOT an oxymoron.
