I am reading up on all the bewildering looms novel-canon stuff on this page, and found this:

A loom consists of millions of fine cords which weave matter and biodata together. For several days spirals of data flow down these cords and are woven into a mesh. From this mesh a Gallifreyan Childe is formed.

*headdesk* *headdesk* *headdesk*

From the colour coding I'm guessing this is either from the Faction Paradox spinoff or completely made up? 'Childe' sets my teeth on edge in Buffyverse fic let alone it invading DW as well...

Also, this bit is marked as telly canon, though I can't remember it: Gallifreyans are not considered full adults untill they are 200 years old

So Romana's a child? Erm, that's just a bit dodgy...

I actually remember the Gallifreyan adult being 200 from one of the many specials I have on VHS. It was in that that it was also specified a Gallifreyan only regenerates either twelve or thirteen times before they were dead for good. (I sadly do not remember which it is :-/)

My dad, the mega-"Dr. Who" fan in my family, can probably tell me which special it is for sure, but I THINK it's actually one on the history of the Daleks...
