In the absence of anything interesting happening to me - I've just been watching old school Who and writing ficathon entries at a painfully slow rate, even for me - I meme.

1. Nine: because he was the first one I fell in love with. CE's remarkable and I love how mercurial his Doctor is, how he can switch from manic grin to moody and menacing. And "coward, every time". And fanboying Dickens!
2. Seven: I've loved all of his episodes with Ace. I love how pacifist he is, that he admits to being "an aging hippy", yet he's also this brilliant puppetmaster who manipulates everyone and works out what Fenric's up to and makes Skaro go *boom*. His speech to Morgaine in Battlefield, where he talks her down from causing nuclear was, is brilliant, as is his final speech to Ace about "somewhere out there there's injustice, somewhere there's tyranny, somewhere the tea's getting cold."
3. Five: I want to take him home and make him a nice cup of tea. I haven't seen enough of his episodes, but he's so earnest and sweet. "Brave heart, Tegan."
4. Four: I'm just starting to catch up on his episodes, but I can see why Tom Baker's most people's definitive Doctor. I've had Physics lecturers like him, same brilliant-but-utterly-mad grin and all.
5. Two: Just edging out Three; I adore Jon Pertwee but he can't quite match the hysterical line-delivery on "I'VE LOST HIS FACE!"
