In the absence of anything interesting happening to me - I've just been watching old school Who and writing ficathon entries at a painfully slow rate, even for me - I meme.

The library at uni, because I'm a geek and I like wandering the stacks, and because the desks are like an archaeological relic of studenthood, with such gems of wisdom as "I've had a wank at this desk" scrawled over them. My new favourite is the peculiarly Irishly-phrased "would it not be class to have sex in the library?"

The Odyssey arena - for geekery, again, because it has an IMAX and a multiplex and many places for food and arcades and pool tables. Also a nightclub, which I don't go to because it's infested with spides (chavs, townies, don't know the American equivalent)

The pub down the road from my student house. It has excellent, cheap food and, hurrah, no music.

My local library in my hometown. Yes, I can't believe I'm sad enough to put two libraries on this list, but I practically grew up in the place. It's tiny and wee and parochial and the librarian was terribly excited when I took out Tipping the Velvet because she'd read it and hadn't been able to talk to anybody about it, being how it was Filthy and about Lesbians.

...I'm stuck for a fifth. Must think about it.
