Hello, hello what's all the shouting, we'll have no trouble here. I had a
lasultrix at my house all weekend, so there was much watching of Doctor Who and Blake's 7 and Black Books and very little checking of the flist, so if there's anything you've posted I need to see - link me? (Even though I know you're dying of petty collective jealousy since none of *you* had a
lasultrix this weekend.)
Now to poke her into writing that Five/Six angsty crack fic of doom...
ETA: random shallow commentary on some stuff I've seen in the past week or so -
Blake's 7
- Far better than I anticipated, given that it's a British 70s sci-fi show. I loved the look of Space Fall, the way everything shot on the prison ship looked grey (not to mention the officer carrying a thermos and some cups onto the bridge. Brits in space!)
- I love Avon.
- But not as much as he loves Blake.
- Somewhere on this big, wide internet, someone must have written Avon/Garak slash, and I must find it.
Star Trek: Nemesis
- They could just have called this Jean-Luc's Midlife Crisis, considering he appears at various times to perv on Riker, Troi, Worf, Beverly, Geordi, and his own clone. And he drives a dune buggy!
- Was that Rex Van De Kamp as the Enterprise's new first officer in the deleted scenes? Oh, there needs to be whacked-out crossover AU fic. Bree in Space!
- I thought it was enjoyably bad. I liked the clone's outfit. I was a bit unclear as to how he went from being a slave to having a fuckload of weaponry and technology beyond the scope of either the Romulans and the Federation, but as we were MSTing it I may have missed lines.
- I could have lived a long, long time without seeing Deanna Troi be raped by an orc.
Doctor Who: Earthshock
- I did feel a bit sorry for Adric at the end, but he makes me want to collapse in giggles every time his teen angst sulks across the screen. He reminds me far too much of Pitt the Younger from Blackadder.
- Five is too adorable for his own good. "You'll get awfully crumpled..."
- Cybermen!

I know they have. I can't remember who, though. *racks brain*

Probably. He's on The West Wing too, as Speaker, just in case you feel the need to write an even more whacked-out triple-crossover fic thing. (Bree as President?)
Now to poke her into writing that Five/Six angsty crack fic of doom...
My mind had wandered from Dr. Who slightly, and so I was very pleased to read that there would be someone writing fic for Number Six off of the Prisoner. And then my brain rebooted and tried to tell me there would be fic for the Sexy Blonde Girl Six off of Battlestar Galactica. And then I realised it was neither.
Clearly there needs to be some sort of classification system for all these Sixes wandering about.

It's sequel could be called Sixy Beast...

I remember a fantastic gen story where Garak gets trapped on the Liberator, but I can't remembr where the thing is. Most perplexing.

Okay, besides the ones I've said, I've got:
The Five Doctors
The Three Doctors
Spearhead From Space
That's it.

(By the way I think I'm developing a new hate for our friend next door, she keeps trying to get me to do work for her, despite the fact I say NO NO NO NO!)
Thanks again.

Awww, I know! That was one of the ones I watched at some unearthly hour on UKGold and couldn't squee without waking the parental units. Five is so cute.

Now, Turlough . . .
Nemesis: plot holes of doom
I was quiet the whole movie and there was no explanation. I would say "perhaps in the deleted scenes?" but apparently not since you watched them.
My biggest beef was [white text spoilers] [/spoilers]
My brief commentary is embedded in here (http://www.livejournal.com/users/hermionesviolin/517999.html).

Eh, a girl of taste... Not Avon/Garak slash, but they do get to meet in the fabulous Wholesale (http://homepage.ntlworld.com/matthew.adams1/personal/wholesale.htm), by Una McCormack

Hee! How true! 8-D

Actually, skip right from Terminal to Blake, if you can.
