It's exceedingly hard to concentrate on thesis stuff when housemates are in your room arguing about comics.

[livejournal.com profile] thecount_ha says he wants a return to an older style of comics. 'Evolution, not revolution'. Less retcons and crises. And lower-cut tops.

[livejournal.com profile] connorbeast says he wants Tom Welling strapped to the bed and freshly lubed, but life's a bitch.

Tough choice! But I'm going to have to side with connorbeast, here!

I am amazed that you get any work done with them two in the house, roleplaying for your ficathons.

Hehehe

::blinks:: That's an argument? That's not an argument. That's a general consensus. Connorbeast wins by a landslide.

Are they actually drawing Tom Welling in the Superman comics now? If so, I'm gonna have to start my collection back up with more than just "Strangers In Paradise".

Dude, the three of us *met* because [livejournal.com profile] connorbeast was idly googling the names of people on his class and discovered [livejournal.com profile] thecount_ha belonged to a Strangers in Paradise messageboard. He dragged him home, they got me reading SiP too, and now we're one happy and perverse family.

They're not drawing Welling in comics, as far as I know, though I've seen Welling-as-Superman art by what'shisname, the famous Superman artist... Alex Ross?

[identity profile] connorbeast.livejournal.com 2005-02-15 12:27 am (UTC)(link)
Yeah, Alex Ross is the guy who drew Welling as Superman. As far as the comics go, no Superman has never been drawn to resemble Welling, hell not even the Smallville comic managed to make Clark look anything like him.

SQUEE!!! I just love Terry Moore. He is wonderful! I only wish I could draw like he can to accompany my ficcies.

You have all the luck. No one I know locally reads SiP, so I have to keep all my excitement to myself 'til I can babble to my on-line friends about it.

Heeeeeee

Go connor!

*snicker*

And yo. Got something for you. Just really off-the-cuff, mind you. Criticism welcome-- you can be harsh, I had [livejournal.com profile] deepad tell me my language was nice that she could not buy the story and that Buffy would never do such a thing. I simply shifted things around, and it worked. *g*

It's not really the wolf, you know?

That urge, after a night of drawing-scribbling-sketching and no sleep until the project's turned in, to kill the neighbour when he starts using his power tools right beneath my open window, to make Amanda's high, whiny kid-voice stop, to fight back-- no holds barred-- when Jill goes passive-aggressive on me.

Okay--

now, I want to tear out their throats instead of whacking the neighbour with his tool kit, stapling Amanda's mouth shut, or screaming every bit of my mind at my sister. But, Angel, that's just the how--

what's beneath is just *me*.

What? I like my characters to be like liquored cherries in white chocolate: light on the outside, dark and potent inside. Or vice versa, of course-- Spike'd have a center of cream and different shades of nougat rolled in dark chocolate. & ;-)

Title suggestion?

Ooh. Ooh, ooh. I love this. Beautiful insight.

Argh, I suck at titles...

(Of course! I'd be honoured! With a proper British "u"! *g*)
