I got the DVD of Teachers series 3. Well, I skipped labs to get it, and when Tesco didn't have it I dispatched [livejournal.com profile] connorbeast downtown to buy it. And now it's in my grubby mitts and I love it so.

There's a whole episode devoted to Kurt and Brian's relationship, and trouble kicking off when they get a Christmas card addressed to "Mr. and Mrs. McKenna". The fact that everyone treats them as a married couple doesn't seem to phase either of them - Brian's just puzzled as to why he's being called Kurt's wife rather than his husband. Simon tactlessly points out that Brian does everything for Kurt and "if he *was* your husband you'd have grounds to divorce him for emotional abuse." "I'd never divorce Kurt," Brian says, hurt, but once he starts to think about it he realizes Kurt does take him for granted, and breaks up with him. (He words this as "our relationship hasn't been working for some time".) And everybody calls it a break-up. And Kurt views this as exactly the same situation as Bob's wife walking out on him. And they hold hands across the canteen table when Brian's decided he's made a mistake and is trying to get back together. And squee, for they are the slashiest couple of all time.

My essay for [livejournal.com profile] ship_manifesto is going to be about 10,000 words long, isn't it...

Hi (found you via ship_manifesto (http://www.livejournal.com/users/ship_manifesto/) Kurt/Brian and decided to babble).
Season 3 really was their golden era.
::Sticks fingers in ears and ignores the existance of season 4::
That episode almost made me cry - Brian sitting alone in the gym with the rock, Kurt walking in the rain and the 'not talking to each other'. And still when they 'were on a break' Brian offering lifts and leaving the flat unlocked. The whole episode makes me go aw.

Have you found any K/B fanfic?

I'll stop now before I completely reveal the depths of my obsession.

'You said I was a wife trapped in an emotionally abusive marriage'
'Cos... you know... I'd want to be with him.'

:clings to you: I'm so happy someone else loves them! There's no fanfic for them, and there should be. Wait, there's a drabble by me on [livejournal.com profile] odycee's journal here (http://www.livejournal.com/users/odycee/107185.html?thread=407217).

There needs to be fic explaining away season 4. My theory is they faked their own deaths. I refuse to be told otherwise.

My season 3 DVD skipped two chapters of the episode I was talking about - what's Kurt looking for when he ransacks his room? The key-chain? My DVD skips from that to Brian in the gym.

It's truly the best episode ever. I loved Kurt's sulky "*you* didn't tell him to dump me" comment to Simon.

I've friended you, hope you don't mind. I love your icon. I need a K/B icon. Or many.

Aw! They're not fooling anyone.

My theory is they faked their own deaths.

Yep. Maybe they think they accidently killed Matt and are now on the run in Hull.

My season 3 DVD skipped two chapters of the episode I was talking about - what's Kurt looking for when he ransacks his room? The key-chain? My DVD skips from that to Brian in the gym.

Off the top of my head between those two scenes are...

K+B flat -
Kurt searching in his room for the key chain.
Kurt and Brian 'not talking' in the morning - whilst arguing through Simon.
Kurt at a bus stop and later a bus, failing to remember the name of the school or where it is.

Staff room -
Kurt gloating that Brian's been driving to school the wrong way for three years.
Exam cover is handed out - Penny/Matt and Brian/Kurt.

Corridor -
Matt/Penny awkward conversation. Kurt swaps with Penny, then has enthusiatic and very friendly conversation with Matt with Brian looking on in the background.

Hall -
Matt/Kurt in the exam hall with Kurt trying to get Matt to play daft games with him.

...I think that's it.

Aww! I'm getting my DVDs swapped. I want to see the not talking.

I love the second or third episode in that season, when Kurt's giving up smoking and goes on the date with one of the kid's mothers: Brian just seems so quietly sad. "There's always your winning smile" and "you lot have got someone to come home to". And in episode 12 (I think), Clare's double take at seeing Brian without Kurt. "You're here but... he's not? Extraordinary."

Don't forget the drabble that you wrote for [livejournal.com profile] tigannie_con here (http://www.livejournal.com/community/luxor_casino/6842.html?thread=95930#t95930). You truly are the queen of Teachers fanfic!

Aha, I'd forgotten that one!

I want to read other people's fic :mope: Especially one set right after that last episode of the third season. Since Matt's asked them if they've ever snogged to see what it's like, and they know Matt's straight but has had gay experiences, I could see them drunkenly trying it...

After that episode, I went looking for fic and found none. How can there be none!

I can see them drunkenly trying it too...

Why did they kill them off?!

Stupid people. And they're not dead. Definitely not.

(I'd nearly have preferred them to just disappeared: it'd be logical enough that the new school would already have a full PE and IT staff. I mean, would Brian really take a job there if Kurt wasn't offered one, or vice versa? They couldn't even stay in their own colour zones during Clare's attempt to break up the cliques in the staffroom...)
