doyleWent to the cinema last night for a double bill of Shanghai Knights and The Core. The second one bored the crap out of me (badly written, predictable, with unlikely characters and awful psuedoscience) but Shanghai Knights was a masterpiece for one good reason:
Aidan Gillen played the bad guy.
Fucking Aidan fucking GILLEN. Stuart from the UK Queer as Folk. I've never seen him in a movie before, so how much did I squee over seeing him with a major part that involved him sneering and walking around in formalwear? Mmmm. Need to see movie again.
