My dad's internet adventures continue. He bought a PC last week and it's a whole new world for him. A slightly frightening world. We had a nasty moment when one of those "is someone watching your computer?" spam ads appeared and he freaked out, but I got him calmed down.

Him finding my FE Live Journal led to all sorts of complicated questions like "what on earth is an 'ubervamp'?" and "who wrote all this? You did? Really? Why aren't you writing something you could make money from? The Harry Potter books are very good, I hear."

I'm working on my answer to the 100 Things About You meme, but it's hard to think of a hundred things to say about me. "Shy, likes slash, liable to fail her midterms due to lack of studying" about covers it.

Sunday night: with me still in a state of denial over impending evil exams, I spent this evening with a bottle of wine and lots of chocolate watching a period drama with my mum. Mum was terribly upset at the amount of sex, but she must have known it's called Sons and *Lovers* for a reason. (Also I didn't like to tell her that Smashed and Dead Things were more explicit, since she's still under the impression that Buffy is a children's show). I don't remember very much of the book - have to read it again - but the adaptation was good. My Papa - my father's father - was a coalminer, so the bleak look at life down the pits was even more depressing than it should have been. Still going to watch the rest tomorrow, though. Going by the trailer, they're going to ladle in even more gratuitous sex. Yay!
