Ethanficathon

My Ethanfic's done. 8000 words, a bit too long for LJ, apparently. So it's here:

Silent Upon a Peak in Darien. Gen, PG-rated, for [livejournal.com profile] moonanstars who wanted Ethan escaping the Initiative and minimal involvement of other Buffy characters.

That was bloody brilliant. I forgot I was reading fanfic and instead thought I was reading some sort of quirky first novel.

Is there a reason you're not doing this for a living? ;-)

:blushes: Thank you! I had an absolute ball writing it and worried it was straying too far from fanfic, so I'm really glad you liked it.

Oh, this was *wonderful*. Truly a joy to read. Wow.

Wow, this is was a really cool Ethan. Now I want the Ethan, Dawn, & Willow sequel. :)

I particularly liked his glee at fomenting chaos, all the tie-ins with the Slayer spell, and his entreaty at the Forum Romanum. Good stuff.

Great set of OC's and I loved the League of Gentlemen ref.

That is the best Ethan fic I've read. Bar none. You did an superlative job of bringing out the Ethan that I actually saw on the show. The thing with Ethan is that he is amusingly wry, but also menacing; most fanfic authors concentrate upon one and forget the other. Plus, you perfectly conveyed his rather quirky code that is highly dependent upon his own self-interest. I hope you don't mind if I pimp this, because I think everyone should read it!

Thank you, and yay for pimping!

That was absolutely amazing. I'm in awe.

Thank you!

Brilliant. I don't think you stray too far from fanfic. On the contrary, I sometimes feel a certain claustrophobia when I read fic because so few people are able to use the outside world or original characters.
Nifty. Loved your Ethan voice and the way he was both manipulative and ready to go where fortune pushes him. Great stuff.

Finally got your fic done -- sorry it took me so long.

Hope you like!
