My Ethanfic's done. 8000 words, a bit too long for LJ, apparently. So it's here:

Silent Upon a Peak in Darien. Gen, PG-rated, for moonanstars who wanted Ethan escaping the Initiative and minimal involvement of other Buffy characters.

That is the best Ethan fic I've read. Bar none. You did an superlative job of bringing out the Ethan that I actually saw on the show. The thing with Ethan is that he is amusingly wry, but also menacing; most fanfic authors concentrate upon one and forget the other. Plus, you perfectly conveyed his rather quirky code that is highly dependent upon his own self-interest. I hope you don't mind if I pimp this, because I think everyone should read it!
