Those things you keep food in, in the kitchen. To me they're cupboards. What do you wacky Yanks call 'em? I'm sure I know this but I'm blocked, all I keep coming up with is "closet" and I know that's wrong. For example, "Joyce opened the ____ "

I may or may not be going crazy. But I love writing this fic.

kitchen cabinets are generally what you put dishes and cups in. They are the ones over and under the counter.

A pantry is where you usually store food products. Generally, a pantry has two large doors, but can also be kinda like a walk in closet of sorts.

Cupboard is not really used, but if it is, it is the equivalent of kitchen cabinets.
