doyleApologies for the entry below. I'm the Snarling Woman-Beast today. Just want to make it clear that:
1) I love the shows. I've loved every episode of them both this season (well, maybe not Same Time Same Place, though I don't know why I was bored by it). Season 7 Buffy in particular has the potential to outclass my current favourite seasons (2 or 3, depending on my mood). I hate it when people whinge about every damn episode and still watch. However the show ends - even if Joss goes for what to me would be the ultimate cop-out of Joyce waking Buffy up for her first day at Sunnydale High and It Was All a Dream - it'll still be my favourite show.
2) I have nothing against B/Aers, the B/A ship or any of the fan/shipper groups. I'm not actually insane, honestly. And as I said above, I loved season 2. The Angelus thing is sheer genius, and my friends are under strict instructions not to let me watch Becoming or hear "Full of Grace" today, or indeed any day when I'm in a dangerous hormonal state. Me becoming a blubbering emotional mess is not something anyone needs to see.
I'm completely on board with what is saying - leave Buffy single. Put Spike/Angel together. I'm rereading Days of Our Unlives and happily imagining a strange parallel universe where AtS was picked up by Showtime and became the replacement for QAF. Since I'm also reading Domestic Pirahna (which I'm too lazy to find the link for), I could live with Spike/Xander - spinoff, spinoff! - but I think my heart would always be with Xandrew.
On another topic, I've been reading a bunch of old Marvel comics in the past couple of days, and I think I've found a new One True Pairing. There must be Spiderman/Daredevil slash out there. I mean... incredibly heightened senses! Shooting sticky web-fluid! Ben Affleck and Tobey Maguire! I'm off to research this... actually, no, I'll wait until I'm not using the university's computers. I've had narrow escapes in the past with their "porn alarms".
