My characters are revolting

So I get my slashficathon pairing. I start working out an opening for the fic. And immediately the two guys start snarking at each other in my head. Snark, snark, snark. About one another's clothes/hair. About who would make the first move, because each of them claimed the other "so clearly wants me". About who comes across as the most gay. Entertaining, but no way am I getting to the fun stuff in 1000 words if they don't shut up.

About 5am I finally dropped off to sleep, only to be woken four hours later when I dreamed about our street falling into a big hole in the ground a la Chosen.

I can't wait to read it.
But I'd swap your problem for mine.
My characters usually insist on being killed or killing each other. It's most disconcerting on occassions.

Oh noooo! And so it begins! :)

I know what you mean, though. Mine do NOT want to do the thing I have to make them do. Nuh uh. No way.

Sigh.

I know what you mean about characters revolting on you. At the minute I have Luke snarking, Leia whining and my supporting characters are trying to take over. *beats fic into submission* And it's NEVER going to end!! I've been wrting it for a year come October, and I think I'm one sixth through....
