And three more

Patient X
...brings to mind one particular patient, who spent seven years (beginning aged fifteen) in a catatonic state.
During her brief periods of lucidity, questioning revealed a complex fantasy universe wherein she had cast herself as the "chosen one", selected by mystical forces to destroy vampires and monsters. She created for herself a family, friends and enemies, some distorted versions of the real-life people who surrounded her, others merely figments of an ill young woman's imagination.
It remains a mystery why, on her final awakening, her first words were "cookie dough".

Mostly Spike is an annoying pain in his undead ass. But sometimes (he grudgingly admits) it's nice not to be the only souled vampire anymore.
"You ever wonder why?" he asks once, feeling maudlin. "Why us. The soul thing, working for redemption, and..." He doesn't say Buffy's name. It's a long-standing and unspoken agreement.
Spike smirks, no humour behind it. "Universe is out to get us, I reckon. Madness is what it is, mate. Folie a bloody deux."

"Not this again," Lilah said, sounding amused and saddened in equal measures.
He held the contract at arm's length over the trash can as the flames consumed it. "This time is different. It's final," he told her, dropping the charred paper before it could burn his fingers.
When he looked up she was already starting to fade, her eyes widening.
"Wes," she said, and he'd never heard her voice quite so panicked, "lover, no, what did you do? What was the price?"
"You don't want to know," he told the empty office, surprised by how difficult it was to speak.
