Stolen from saava: a film meme


Favorite movie - The Lord of the Rings; both parts so far. I can't wait till the trilogy is finished and I can see all three back-to-back.

Worst Movie Seen - that dumb movie with Madonna and Rupert Everett, what's it called... The Next Best Thing. I loathed that movie, and I adore Everett. I'd nominate Space Mutiny, but at least it's (unintentionally) funny.

Last Movie Seen (in theater) - The Two Towers, for the third time. Spent most of it mentally willing Aragorn and Legolas to just kiss, for god's sake.

Last Movie Seen (on video) - Bridget Jones's Diary: watched with my six housemates, all female, and our friend David, who was the only one who hadn't already seen it several times and who became increasingly more frightened at the sheer vindictiveness of the rest of us towards Daniel and the American stick-insect.

Most Depressing Movie Seen - Farewell my Concubine, which I love, but which is pretty bleak in parts.

Funniest Movie Seen - Monty Python's Life of Brian.

Most Romantic Movie - A toss-up between Moulin Rouge (all of it), Beautiful Thing (gay love!) and It's a Wonderful Life (for the scene with George and Mary sharing the telephone)

Movie That Always Makes Me Cry - I can't quite believe I'm writing this, but... Toy Story 2. When the Sarah McLachlan song starts. But then I have that reaction to the end of Becoming, too - maybe it's S McL rather than the movie.

Movie Seen the Most Times - Toy Story, Moulin Rouge, FOTR, Fight Club. Movies I like, I watch a bunch of times.

Yeah, I liked Evita a lot, too. That's part of the reason I was disappointed in The Next Best Thing. If Swept Away had actually come to a theater near me, I admit that I probably would have seen it. I'm a glutton for punishment.
