Dammit, what is it with the name Elizabeth in these fantasy AUs? 'Splizabeth' sounds even sillier than 'Spuffy', for heaven's sake...

"Ooooh! 'Buffy' is a nickname derivative of 'Elizabeth'! Wouldn't it be CLEVER if I gave my Buffy the name Elizabeth! I bask in my own cleverness! Actually, the Buffy on the show was no doubt really named Elizabeth, even though no one ever called her that and 'Buffy' appeared on all official-ish documents and she specifically said her mom named her 'Buffy'! Because 'Buffy' is just a terrible name which no one would name their child! Not even Joyce! I'm so glad I was clever enough to figure this out!"
