I'm casting around for a non-Jossverse fandom. I've been watching season 2 of Oz, and the lovely, angsty Beecher/Keller has sucked me in, dammit, even though I know how that ends up.

I was madly into Due South for a while, before they took away my Vecchio! And... and... I liked RayK but I just couldn't see him paired with Fraser without seething with jealousy and I had to stop watching because I just couldn't get over the F/V.... theirlovewassopureandeternal! (Whatever the DS equivalent of a Duck is, I'm it. It's why [livejournal.com profile] connorbeast takes full credit for me being Spuffy, because if he'd started me watching season 1 instead of 6, I'm fairly sure I'd be B/A 4-eva.)

So now I'm casting around for good Oz fanfic. I am so very very amused to discover it's not only Spuffy fandom that does novel-length AUs that completely remove the whole focus of the television series (ie, Beecher and Keller never went to prison, Chris is a cop, etc...). Actually, I remember a Mulder/Krycek story I loved to tiny fictional pieces that was set in an AU, where Mulder was a prison officer.

Ooh, the X-Files. This is bizarre, but I never read MSR. I desperately wanted them to be together on the show, I think I still have a scrapbook of magazine articles and horrendous fanfic of my own, dating from age 11 or 12, but I only read stories where they were just friends. I wonder if that archive that only dealt with novels is still running - I loved that site.

Embarrassing as this is, I was a Krycek redemptionista. I eschewed dark and, well, realistic stories for the redeemy fluff that had him going white-hat for the love of a good man. My excuse is I was 15 and hopelessly naive/romantic, but I'm pretty sure I'd still love those stories. I must track them down, actually. Hmm, the author was Ares or Aries or something like that...

I could get into Smallville fanfic. This season I've only watched the show casually, but I love me some Lex.

Harry Potter fanfic could work for me. I've only recently seen the appeal of Harry/Draco, and there has to be some decent gen fic out there

Glenn is being bullied into giving me webspace, so after my exams I'm moving my recs site. Hopefully making it prettier, too, and dividing the recs up better. Oh, and adding bunches and bunches of new stuff, once I start really reading Buffy fanfic again.

I'm not too sure if you're searching for a genre kind of show, but I really enjoy Everwood. I'd be happy to give you a basic primer on the show and/or point you towards some interesting fic.

Of course if you get sucked into Harry Potter and actually *find* gen fic, point the way.
