I think this is the first Spuffy icon I've ever had, because I'm seriously feeling the love today. (Most of my friends list aren't Spuffy, and I apologise to them. I'll keep squeeing to a minimum, but I'm feeling fangirly.)

The icon was made by the lovely [livejournal.com profile] saava and the text is from a poem by Pablo Neruda.

If you, beloved, my love,
if you have died,
all the leaves will fall upon my breast,
it will rain upon my soul night and day,
the snow will burn my heart,
I shall walk with cold and fire and death and snow,
my feet will want to march toward where you sleep,
but I shall go on living.

Oh, God, that was in Truly Madly Deeply.

*runs away sobbing*

That's where I know it from! I've read other translations since then, but I still love the way it's used in that movie.

I agree. It was one of the few times I've seen poetry used onscreen in a way that affected me, let alone had me sobbing and clutching my stuffed animals.
