My first exam's finished. I thought it went pretty well, though it's always disconcerting to be one of the first to leave the exam hall. My rationale was there was really nothing more I could write, and if I sat blankly waiting for some odd inspiration to come, I'd start panicking over answers and erasing stuff.

Two interesting facts about nuclear physics, learned during my revision:
- despite what I have written in my lecture notes, it is in fact the "Wood Saxon Potential" and not the "Wood/Spike Potential"

- extended metaphors about an electron being elevated to an excited state and leaving behind an anti-electron and how this compares with Cordelia's ascension in Tomorrow have no place in today's exam answers. (I didn't, before Mary flips.)

In one of those "the forces of the universe have an odd sense of humour" moments, I watched a Happy Days rerun yesterday for the first time in years. The episode was an extended dream sequence where Fonzie was captured by a vampire who wanted to steal his cool. Seriously.

I heard about the Dawson's Creek finale...

My friend Sarah and I both gave up on Dawson's Creek three years ago when we decided Joey was never going to stop dicking about angsting after Dawson and be happy with Pacey. I'm sort of regretful I stopped watching, because I adored P/J back in the day. Maybe I'll watch this season when it comes to British TV.

And Jack/Doug! :dies: When Jack was first introduced I hoped he'd end up with Pacey (since no matter how P/J full-on I was, I thought no way in hell were the twu wuv eternal soulmates not going to end up together on a WB show - which is going to be funny for the Clana ship on Smallville) but I had Jack/Doug in the back of my mind too.

Mm. Must see DC finale. Also rerent Cruel Intentions for bleached!blond!Pacey!

More revision tonight for my Optics paper, which looks set to be an absolute bitch of an exam.

This season was a definite must see for P/J shippers. The ups and downs played havoc with one's heart. And the finale...smiles and tears, heartbreaking & uplifting, nice ending to great show. It was probably the best played finale I've ever seen. It didn't leave me wanting more. It didn't leave that aching hole in my heart, it was just a nice goodbye.
