I hate thinking of subject lines

marymac has been pointing out a gigantic opportunity missed on Sunday night, when Glenn and connorbeast both slept over in my room. Had I only sneaked out in the night, the potential for funny incriminating photos could have been endless. As it is, I'm still getting the sneaking paranoia that my mother has a hidden camera in my room and will have awkward questions as to why I was sleeping smooshed between two guys. I think I'll go with claiming bed shortage due to mutant termites of some kind.

Mm, mutants. X-men. Bobby/Logan. Need to see that movie again. Not till after the exams, though.

I killed a couple of hours last night reading a book called The Page Turner by David Leavitt. Not as good as The Lost Language of Cranes, but still very good, especially if (like Connorbeast and myself) you recast it as a Buffy AU. So Connor became the teen prodigy, Wes the middle-aged musician he has an affair with, Joyce Connor's denial-heavy mom, Giles Wesley's older long-term boyfriend, and Xander and Andrew the nice gay couple who aren't in enough of the book.

I haven't seen Touched yet, but given that...

I like Spuffy.
I like Faith and Wood.
I like Kennedy.
I love Andrew.

I probably won't hate it. I'm one of the relentless pollys who's really enjoyed this season, even though I'm much more focused on AtS these days. I think it's because I know Buffy's winding down. Can't really explain it, just that I haven't been affected by much on BtVS since Sleeper, whereas I can't wait to download Angel every week.


A year ago I'd have thrown a total bitch fit over the B/Aness. Today my entire reaction to the pictures was "ooh, Angel looks hot". I think the only death in the finale that would upset me is Andrew (whimpers) or Xander (because it would destroy my state of Xandrew denial). Whereas over on AtS, if next season they kill any of my main characters (except Fred: sorry, roseveare), it'll be bitch-fit central around here. And if they don't get a season 5, I'm thinking works like "going" and "postal".


I'm feeling rambly today, sorry.

Can't really explain it, just that I haven't been affected by much on BtVS since Sleeper, whereas I can't wait to download Angel every week.

Could it be because Angel is just better at the moment? Not to denigrate Buffy at all, but Angel is just *rocking*. This season has been all kinds of fantastic.

Oh, yeah. Angel just keeps getting better. I was sure it had hit its peak last season, but I'm very happy to have been proven wrong.

I saw the first season and most of the second I think, but I missed the third season (no cable at Uni), and only started downloading the fourth because I was watching Buffy. But now, I'm watching Angel in its own right - not for a pairing, not for any one person (although .. Wesley .. *faints*), but because it's such a good show. They really hit it this season :) Yay Angel.

I love the ensemble on AtS, but Angel and Wes are two of my favourite Jossverse characters. I could watch a whole season of just the two of them. Especially if they were nekkid and oiled up...

Yeah, its strength has always been that it's an ensemble of truly fantastic characters. And Fred. And this season, they've really focused on that ensemble, hence the strength of the season.
