Some stuff I've posted elsewhere, linked here because otherwise I'll lose track of it:

They're all a bit angsty and about death, which is not my usual fare at all, but the stuff I'm working on now for Remix Redux and churchontime is my usual comedy-with-people-running-about, thank goodness - it's much more fun to write.

I'm still thinking about some of the prompts for the unpopular opinions meme - yes, a week later because I am slow and end up getting stuck on things like "are there prevailing opinions on, say, Spike or Xander? Because you could get a sizeable crowd arguing most things..." (My #1 unpopular opinion about Spike and Xander is that I don't see them together, I suppose, although have a weakness for s4 basement odd-couple comedy, and cliche be damned.)

From cidercupcakes: Pretend you knew I was going to be assigned you in a ficathon. Give me a title, character(s)/pairing(s), and a word or two of prompt, and I'll tell you about the story I would write for you. Possibly even start the story in a file somewhere and maybe, one day, if the stars and planets align just right, actually finish it. Oh, and feel free to add what made-up ficathon it's for.

On getting this assignment, the first thing I would do would be to look up saunas on Wiki in case that sparks any plot ideas, whereupon I'd hit this line:

Sometimes people make a 'vihta'; they tie together small fresh birch branches (with leaves on) and swat themselves and their fellow sauna bathers with it.

o.O, I would think.

So, the TARDIS has landed in a sauna. A very, very large sauna; it's quite possible this is some sort of Planet of the Saunas. The Doctor, with his lower body temperature, has gone a bit funny in the heat and gone for a lie-down somewhere nice and cool in the TARDIS. Unfortunately, he's also absentmindedly locked Tegan and Turlough out. They embark on an exploration of the Gigantic Sauna of Death, snarking a lot (at each other and about the Doctor, which gives them something to bond over) and reluctantly shedding clothes as they go. Then CIRCUMSTANCES CONSPIRE so that they must shag. Or get married. Or both.

*g* I am thinking hard, though will probably have to think some more in the morning - I'm leaning heavily towards Danny having to pretend to be Nicholas, and am just trying to think of some plausible plot that would allow it... (I've watched Hot Fuzz an insane number of times. I adore those two together.)
