Memeage via [livejournal.com profile] kindkit:

1) Comment with one of my fandoms or a character or two from that fandom.
2) I'll answer with one or two of my unpopular opinions about that fandom or character.

Rose and Mickey. (As separate characters, I mean, not Rose/Mickey.)

- Rose is far more interesting to read/write fic about in her own right than paired romantically with Ten (especially if this entails her being paired up, platonically or otherwise, with Mickey and Jake). The Earth Defence spinoff would have been the best thing ever ever.

I'm trying to think of widespread fandom opinions about Mickey but I can only think of the Mickey/Jake fanon, and I totally agree with that.

- Mickey's better looking than either Ten or Jack. He also had the best character arc of any of the new series companions so far, but a lot of the time this feels more like a happy accident than something planned from the outset. Oh, I know what's unpopular - I'd happily kick out anyone on the Torchwood team if it meant Mickey replacing them.

Can I be unpopular too? I'd love to see Mickey in a recurring role.

In the event that that actually happens, Torchwood fandom will no doubt erupt, in which case I will be off in a corner chuckling happily and not caring.

I don't know what to make of Those Rumors, but the mere thought of the fannish explosions they would precipitate makes me hope they're true.

Agree 100%, dude! Great thought.

(And of course I agree with the first one, too).

I'm not a fan of The Weakest Link, but I loved Anne Robinson a bit for her baffled comment to Noel Clarke on the Doctor Who special - "Rose dumps Mickey for the Doctor? But you're better looking than [Tennant]..."

James May.

(He is a character from a fandom, isn't he?)

He is! And my (possibly) unpopular opinion is that he is by far
the best (and best-looking) of them. I say possibly because surely everyone thinks this. Otherwise they'd just be wrong.

I think Ianto's actually quite amused by the Jack and Gwen thing and would be up for a threesome if Rhys wasn't in the picture. He definitely doesn't go home every night and cry himself to sleep over Jack not loving him.

Jackie would have been a better companion than Sally Sparrow.

SPAM. Sorry, but your unpopular opinions are so awesome! I find with this meme that there's almost no such thing as an unpopular opinion, it depends who you're talking to.

But I really agree about Ianto.

Hello new friend (and fellow Fitz/8 fan)

Eight (just Eight, not the Doctor in general).

Hello! *waves*

Eight gets fluffified because he's so damn pretty - he blew up Gallifrey (twice!), for heaven's sake. Eight is possibly the darkest of the Doctors.

Having just listened to Zagreus, I agree with you so much.

Charley Pollard
Er. Romana? :D

Charley, although I love her to death, outstayed her time as companion by at least a couple of years and would have been better off moved onto the Gallifrey spinoff. However, then they moved her to Six! And all was well! Because unpopular opinion #2: Six/Charley > Eight/Charley.

Romana might shag Ten, but she wouldn't be in True Love Forever with him (or even True Love For the Next Couple of Minutes) and she'd eventually have to fake her own death by Daleks just to get away from him. And though Four/Romana's great, Romana/Leela are OTP.

Hee, Charley on the Gallifrey spinoff would have been AWESOME. Romana/Leela/Charley OT3!
I'm looking forward to more Charley audios, I just need to ACQUIRE them. And I've heard awesome stuff about Six/Charley. :D

I actually really see that about Romana/Ten (Ten:*GLOMP* Romana: O.o) but I haven't actually made up my own mind yet about whether Romana/Doctor or Romana/Leela are OTP. Depends what day you ask me. Today, it's Romana/Leela.

Leela and Four - totally doing it (I assume this is unpopular as there's no fic)

Ace becoming a Time Lord in TV canon would have been amazingly stupid. The time travelling bike's great, though.

OMG! No, Leela and Four totally WERE doing it! But then I think Four was doing all his companions, so.

I adore Ace, but I'm glad I'm not the only one who feels that way.

Absolutely. (I was just thinking of Zagreus, myself.)

And if you take the NAs as canon, he comes from a dark background in his previous incarnation, so of course he'll have something of the night about him, even in his lightest moments. That's what makes him a fascinating Doctor.
