I've run memes like this before for companions and for ships (and I'm trying to dig up links to those) and decided it might be fun to try one for all the episodes of old school Doctor Who. In the comments are threads for every story from An Unearthly Child to The TV Movie (actually, The Curse of Fatal Death, because I couldn't leave Lumley Doc out); reply to these comments with what you loved about the episode, whether it's favourite lines, moments, squee for the rubbish dinosaurs, character love, shippiness, screencap picspam, or just 'best episode ever'. No harshing others' squee, please - there are 160 serials linked, there must be some you loved... Loving on stories generally derided by fandom is positively encouraged.

For some help navigating, this wiki page has the serials in order.

If any have been missed, feel free to stick them on at the end - I've just realised The Myth Makers isn't there...

The actors tried their best to keep straight faces. There's Five on his downward spiral into darkness, belying that weird fandom "fluffy puppy" image of him. And that final line was most memorable.

It's bizarre to me how pervasive the fluffy puppy image is around fandom. I keep wanting to point and go BUT HE'S CRAZY LOOK AT HIM HE'S CRACKING UP RIGHT IN FRONT OF YOU OH MY GOD WHAT.

There was much running about in corridors and climbing into ventilation shafts, and I like that sort of thing, heh.

And the leads (Tegan, Turlough, and Five) were just lovely, and totally carried the show. Tegan's devotion and bravery, Turlough's practicality and willingness to kill a Sea Devil/Silurian thing point-blank, Turlough's turn-around to some moments of real bravery, and a real concern for Tegan at times that came shining through (and likewise the other way 'round), and the Doctor doing incredible and dangerous things and running about and being put in an utterly untenable situation with no happy ending for anyone.

Last line's a killer, as noted everywhere.

This is my favorite for Turlough, and it's also a great study in the Fifth Doctor. Especially that scene where he completely goes off on that woman for suggesting he just kill all the Silurians and Sea Devils.

...also, there could be some interesting psychological probing done to figure out what made him thinking mass suffocation was a worthy negotiation tactic.
