I've run memes like this before for companions and for ships (and I'm trying to dig up links to those) and decided it might be fun to try one for all the episodes of old school Doctor Who. In the comments are threads for every story from An Unearthly Child to The TV Movie (actually, The Curse of Fatal Death, because I couldn't leave Lumley Doc out); reply to these comments with what you loved about the episode, whether it's favourite lines, moments, squee for the rubbish dinosaurs, character love, shippiness, screencap picspam, or just 'best episode ever'. No harshing others' squee, please - there are 160 serials linked, there must be some you loved... Loving on stories generally derided by fandom is positively encouraged.

For some help navigating, this wiki page has the serials in order.

If any have been missed, feel free to stick them on at the end - I've just realised The Myth Makers isn't there...

More Turlough, this time given a choice. I love the sets and setting for Enlightenment, and the awkward relationship between Tegan and Marriner.

Very good conclusion to the trilogy. Turlough gets into some dodgy situations, the Black Guardian makes his move, they're sailing in space, Captain Wrack is there... lots to like.

Only two comments? o.o Okay then! Enlightenment is one of my all-time favourite serials EVER - easily in my top ten. Turlough, despite being disconcertingly burgandy, is fantastic in every single scene, including the bondage scenes where he's getting his nipples tormented with pointy objects. (ESPECIALLY the bondage scenes where he's getting his nipples tormented with pointy objects!)

Plus, LUSCIOUS sets, brilliant costuming, and an amazing concept, and my love for Turlough is SO STRONG at the end of this one! *hugs the Ginger Minx*

I saw Mawdryn Undead and Terminus about 9 years before I actually got around to seeing Enlightenment. I was pleasantly surprised. I wasn't looking forward to it at all, but watched it when I was bored.

I loved the visuals of the episode. And the concept of the Eternals.

And wasn't there a great line that goes something like "Enlightenment wasn't the Prize, it was the choice". That was fantastic.
