Old School Doctor Who Episodes Love Meme

I've run memes like this before for companions and for ships (and I'm trying to dig up links to those) and decided it might be fun to try one for all the episodes of old school Doctor Who. In the comments are threads for every story from An Unearthly Child to The TV Movie (actually, The Curse of Fatal Death, because I couldn't leave Lumley Doc out); reply to these comments with what you loved about the episode, whether it's favourite lines, moments, squee for the rubbish dinosaurs, character love, shippiness, screencap picspam, or just 'best episode ever'. No harshing others' squee, please - there are 160 serials linked, there must be some you loved... Loving on stories generally derided by fandom is positively encouraged.

If any have been missed, feel free to stick them on at the end - I've just realised The Myth Makers isn't there...

That's true. There is in fact a lot which is magnificent about this serial, but I just get the urge to scream "TURLOUGH!!!!!" from time to time, and this was one of those moments.

(Tegan's very very fetching white outfit springs to mind as another example of my extremely shallow love for this serial)

I'd love this even if it wasn't the introduction of my favourite ginger minx - *eyes Donna* - favourite male ginger minx, because the Brig's wonderful. I love him, Tegan and Nyssa out-blaseing each other about regeneration ("oh, I've seen it twice!")

Besides giving us Turlough for the first time, this serial also gives us two Brigs. You just can't get any cooler than this.

Turlough's introduction, Five asking the Brigadier about the UNIT people, the murder attempt with the rock (!), those hilarious Black Guardian sequences, the Brigadier figuring things out, etc. Among my favorite Five serials.

Turlough and his gingery snark, two Brigs saving the day, and a villain who isn't afraid to have a duck on his head make this a serial worth watching :)

I always liked the look of Mawdryn's spaceship. Very kitsch and over the top.
