I've run memes like this before for companions and for ships (and I'm trying to dig up links to those) and decided it might be fun to try one for all the episodes of old school Doctor Who. In the comments are threads for every story from An Unearthly Child to The TV Movie (actually, The Curse of Fatal Death, because I couldn't leave Lumley Doc out); reply to these comments with what you loved about the episode, whether it's favourite lines, moments, squee for the rubbish dinosaurs, character love, shippiness, screencap picspam, or just 'best episode ever'. No harshing others' squee, please - there are 160 serials linked, there must be some you loved... Loving on stories generally derided by fandom is positively encouraged.

For some help navigating, this wiki page has the serials in order.

If any have been missed, feel free to stick them on at the end - I've just realised The Myth Makers isn't there...

"I liked her. Didn't like him." Sarah/girl!Eldrad OTP! Joss Whedon nicked her for Illyria.

And love Sarah's reaction to finding out she's not in the right street, or even in Croyden - "he blew it!" and walking away whistling.

*sniff*

What a wonderful way for Sarah to leave, but still...

I want an Andy Pandy outfit. Not to actually wear, just to have. Because it is the awesomest thing ever, yes.

Also, much love for Girl!Eldrad and her amazing costume and her incredible voice and, oh, how I love her. And Sarah Jane being evil! And storing her evil hand in Tupperware! And just the SJS/Four interaction in general, because they are just so lovely together in this story.

And plus the bit where they plug their noses for the nuclear blast always makes me LOL. Dodgy science FTW!

I love the story, I love the tenderness between those two in the story, and I love how obviously pained they were at that ending (I don't so much appreciate the fact that I trudged around the house for the next two hours weeping like my dog had died), and the fact that Sarah went from holding in her pain to "wtf Aberdeen" rolling her eyes at him and talking to a dog. <3 He wasn't even in the scene, but her dismissively laughing at him is still a great depiction of their relationship.

The way when the Doctor tells Sarah that he has to leave her behind, he can barely look her in the eye. "Oh, Sarah... don't you forget me." Tom Baker is so brilliantly subtle in that scene, and it all reduced me to non-subtle sobs.
