Old School Doctor Who Episodes Love Meme

I've run memes like this before for companions and for ships (and I'm trying to dig up links to those) and decided it might be fun to try one for all the episodes of old school Doctor Who. In the comments are threads for every story from An Unearthly Child to The TV Movie (actually, The Curse of Fatal Death, because I couldn't leave Lumley Doc out); reply to these comments with what you loved about the episode, whether it's favourite lines, moments, squee for the rubbish dinosaurs, character love, shippiness, screencap picspam, or just 'best episode ever'. No harshing others' squee, please - there are 160 serials linked, there must be some you loved... Loving on stories generally derided by fandom is positively encouraged.

Yes! Yes to all of that. Plus, there was a real live feminist who stayed alive and totally pwned all by fixing the time problem without the Doctor's help.

Jo kills the Doctor. There's something about her willingness to go that far in an emergency that really strikes me. And she culminates with my favorite line of hers: "I'm fine! Dead, of course, but I'm fine."

I think I liked the Doctor intensely before the Daisy monologue. And then him /earning/ his eternal optimism after a period of questioning? And telling Jo about it like that to try and make her feel better because she's scared? Augh. This episode is probably when I loved him.

(also I like to think Dark Day in question was a certain breakup...)
