I've run memes like this before for companions and for ships (and I'm trying to dig up links to those) and decided it might be fun to try one for all the episodes of old school Doctor Who. In the comments are threads for every story from An Unearthly Child to The TV Movie (actually, The Curse of Fatal Death, because I couldn't leave Lumley Doc out); reply to these comments with what you loved about the episode, whether it's favourite lines, moments, squee for the rubbish dinosaurs, character love, shippiness, screencap picspam, or just 'best episode ever'. No harshing others' squee, please - there are 160 serials linked, there must be some you loved... Loving on stories generally derided by fandom is positively encouraged.

For some help navigating, this wiki page has the serials in order.

If any have been missed, feel free to stick them on at the end - I've just realised The Myth Makers isn't there...

Jo gets strapped to a bomb, yes? First, she casually muses about the interesting architecture of the surrounding ruins. Then, she gets herself and her companion unstrapped from said bomb and, when caught, howls for him to go on while she herself is being held by a guard like a folder and flailing so hard and fast she's a blur.

I love the political edge to this story (even though its politics aren't entirely unproblematic). And of course the Master is great.

GIANT IGUANAS, YES.

I seem to also remember that there is an entirely gratuitous scene that is basically just two random guys mud-wrestling.

AND THE MASTER HAS FILING CABINETS IN HIS TARDIS CONTROL ROOM.

ALSO, HE WEARS GLOVES.

The master has filing cabinets in his console room! That alone would make it worth watching. However it also has all sorts of Doctor/Master goodness, including the Doctor saving the Master's life, and the Master asking the Doctor to rule the universe with him. *G* And additionally: Jo rocks!

Both the Doctor and the Master show off their intelligence in this storyline. Good plotting, but at times the pacing is a little slow. Not one of my favourites of the Third Doctor era, but not a bad story, nonetheless.
