Old School Doctor Who Episodes Love Meme

I've run memes like this before for companions and for ships (and I'm trying to dig up links to those) and decided it might be fun to try one for all the episodes of old school Doctor Who. In the comments are threads for every story from An Unearthly Child to The TV Movie (actually, The Curse of Fatal Death, because I couldn't leave Lumley Doc out); reply to these comments with what you loved about the episode, whether it's favourite lines, moments, squee for the rubbish dinosaurs, character love, shippiness, screencap picspam, or just 'best episode ever'. No harshing others' squee, please - there are 160 serials linked, there must be some you loved... Loving on stories generally derided by fandom is positively encouraged.

Vicki gets a great introduction. She's immediately appealing and has instant rapport with the Doctor.

It has that sad little moment in the beginning where the Doctor is calling for Susan and then remembers that shes's gone. :( Then there's Ian, worrying about the Doctor's age and mental status behind his back, and the Doctor informed him that he heard every word! Fun, fast story.

Barbara's low-budget swandive off the cliff, and the way she only has mussed-up hair to show for it. She's Unbreakable, dude.

Vicki's irrational exasperation, when it looks like her here-and-now rescuers are going to screw up the probably-never-going-to-happen rescue she's been investing herself in for months. (The cast all manage that 60s trick of being stagey and layered all at once, and Maureen O'Brien plays it with such weariness.)

Howling men in sacks eyestalk-monsters! Poor old Sandy. Vicki never gets to keep any of her pets, does she?

The Doctor's badass 'Columbo' moment in the cavern of swirly dry ice. And his face when he realises he forgot the lots of armed policemen.

This is fun!
