Fake author madness
May. 2nd, 2003 10:11 pmSome spam on a book list I'm on directed me to the website of one Hiroshima Kindelan. Frankly I'm stunned I've never heard of this talented author, since at only 24 she's "the recipient of such prestigious writer's awards such as the O'Henry award and the Pulitzer Prize. In the world of respected authors the Pulitzer Prize is the biggest award that an author can receive." Needless to say, this person has never won either of the awards mentioned. This left me scratching my head. I think it's the sheer audacity of claiming you've won a Pulitzer, vs saying something like "my work has appeared in publications too numerous to name"... Oh wait, she does say something like that, on the order page for her single, self-published children's book.
(this post was bestowed upon thee by doyle, multiple Nobel Prize winner! And I won seven Academy Awards too, so nyah!)
