This has to be the only time the BBC has ever used the phrase "plague of ferocious badgers" in a news report:

'British forces have denied rumours that they released a plague of ferocious badgers into the Iraqi city of Basra.'

the headline is pretty glorious too....i imagine it's a very special day for a copywriter when they get to use alliteration AND badgers in the same headline.
