Mar. 31st, 2007 07:55 pmOh, I LOVE her. That was nigh-on inevitable - there are only about 3 companions across all the TV stuff, the books and the audios that I'm less interested in, possibly meaning I'm very easily pleased - but I thought Martha was wonderful, smart and brave and adventurous and compassionate and I can't wait to see more of her. Bring on the post-ep fic! And the fic about her siblings and family; I get the feeling they're going to be less featured than the Tylers but I liked them a lot, especially the cute sister and the stepmother who seems to bear an uncanny resemblance from Chantelle off Big Brother.
As for the story - loved the
Oh, and just on TVL "As soon as the Doctor sees Martha, he's thinking 'she could be the one' - he's attracted to her intelligence" - bloody hell, I knew Confidential would be shipping them, but they're leaping in with both feet, aren't they...! It was a lot shippier than I expected. As a multishipping h0r who got into this mad sprawling fandom in the first place because I loved the Nine/Rose subtext in Rose, I approve.
Next week's trailer: someone says 'hey nonny nonny!' I cracked up. Deliberate Blackadder reference, Mr Roberts?
ETA: the Doctor's reference to being in a nursery - dear RTD, the ignoring of Lungbarrow gives me great pleasure. Please continue. :)
Having no icon skills myself, I will go and sit patiently on

I simultaneously quite like Lungbarrow and ignore it, seeing as it's obviously completely ridiculous.
Also, I find myself wanting to know the story behind why Emmeline Pankhurst stole the Doctor's laser spanner...
