Someone on the OG spotted that the Four episode Image of the Fendahl (a bit infamous in fan lore because of the rumour that all new series companions are named after characters in this story) has the mad scientist of the week telling his henchman to "call London, tell Hartman to get his best security men down here". I was fanwankily suggesting in fic earlier this week that Yvonne Hartman's dad was the previous head of Torchwood...

on 2007-03-04 11:31 pm (UTC)It does seem like relationships with civilians would be frowned upon (look what a great effect Gwen working for Torchwood's had on her relationship with Rhys), and if mummy and daddy both work for them it seems plausible the kids would too. Or they poach newbies from UNIT as they seem to have done with Tosh.
