The Beeb announces details of the New Beginnings boxset, due out in January. I can't wait for this one, especially with this stellar description: Prepare for not one but two new companions, killer statues, the slow destruction of the Universe, cunning disguises, big beards, recursive occlusion and stick-on celery. What a combination!

Hm. That makes me want to see the Master in a battle of wits with a certain Edmund Blackadder. What marvellous facial hair there would be.

YAAAAAAAAAAAAAY!

Tom and Janet commentary! Deleted scenes from Castrovalva! All of it!

Ahem. I appear to have become over-excited on a Monday. Most unusual. Bladders/Master would be lovely, though.

Not surprisingly, the set is packed with more extras than you can shake a Tissue Compression Eliminator at.

...oo-er?

I cannot wait until the region 1 edition of this. No matter how broke I am, I will find the money for this one. *g*

I'm dying to see how the BBC advertise that. There's bound to be snark about the duck-headwear.

BBC Video Presents....

SEE the fair haired doctor pit his wills against the duck-headed avatar of all evil!

GASP as his companion attempts to brain him with a rock!

FEAR the undead jelly-brained coat-ruining monsters!

Tremble before the Garm. Laugh at the poofy 80's hairdos. Marvel at the sight of ships in SPACE! Pound your fist on the table and demand more eyecandy as Sarah Sutton prances about removing clothing in a thin plot device catering to fanservice!

YOU CAN'T UNWATCH IT!

Marvel at the sight of ships in SPACE!

What witchery is this?!

Pound your fist on the table and demand more eyecandy as Sarah Sutton prances about removing clothing in a thin plot device catering to fanservice!

Them's good fanservice. As plot devices go, "whoops, my clothes fell off" is sadly underused in Who. It's cheering that by the time Turlough left they had it down to an art and actually gave him a sensible reason to strip to his pants.
