(no subject)

So I got my Yuletide assignment, and am a bit startled that not only could I write all three fandoms requested (though I didn't offer two of them), one is a show from my childhood I decided yesterday I'd like to see again and added to my Blockbuster rental list. A sign from the [livejournal.com profile] yuletide gods? Hm...

Dear Santa,

First off, I realised after I hit send that if you offered for Gallifrey and hadn't heard the whole series, I've majorly spoiled you. Argh! I apologise for my stupidity.

Anyway, I'll be ecstatic with pretty much anything you come up with for the requested characters and fandoms. For more specific likes and dislikes: I'm not that keen on PWP or non-con, I love humour and the characters sounding like themselves, quiet moments of happiness without being fluff and - because I'm a big child - Christmas and other holidays. Oh, angst is also fine (especially for the Night Watch request) provided it doesn't end in suicide or self-harm.

Signing off to work on my own - and, y'know, go to work and stuff -
Doyle

Oh, is that Sarah Waters's Night Watch, or the Russian movie Night Watch?

Come to think of it, either would be très interesting...

Sarah Waters - read it a few weeks ago, fell utterly in love with Kay and had to request either gen or femslash about her. I haven't seen the Russian one yet (though I know there's a copy in my house somewhere) but just from knowing the premise, a crossover would be brainmeltingly awesome *g*
