Stuff I've been doing in the last week or so:

- starting my fourth temp job in two weeks (it has a coffee machine. After my last one, which involved three hours travelling a day and didn't have a sink, let alone any other kind of facilities, I could marry the coffee machine and have its wee caffeinated babies)
- suddenly having the epiphany that while I do enjoy being a secretary it's not something I'm going to make a career out of, and I want to go to grad school even if it means uprooting my life and moving to Scotland or England next year. (I've applied for Queen's again this year, but the funding situation's even worse than last time.)
- being astonished that my parents are actually supportive of this.
- watching three seasons of Scrubs and then tracking down every piece of JD/Cox slash online anywhere because so OTP it hurts me. And from the episode or two I'd managed to watch previously, I had thought Dr Cox and Carla were a couple. They'd be a great couple. Though I do love their canon relationships.
- watching new Doctor Who, obviously. I liked the episode but don't have very much to say about it other than I really liked Rose this week. See, this going off to herself to investigate things is great practise for when she and Sarah Jane have their detective agency. No mention of Mickey, but I didn't expect one.

Man, I'm falling in love with Scrubs all over again, too! Neat.

(Also, you're reading Batman, right? RIGHT? *hopes*)

"I can tell Batman's trying to be gay, but his heart just isn't in it."

I love the Golden Age so much.

I've never seen Scrubs, but [livejournal.com profile] rionaleonhart is big on the JD/Cox and I think she has links on her journal? She's also involved in doing DW/Scrubs crossovers. It all seems terribly fun even if I can't quite follow along. :)

I have only seen several episodes of Scrubs (to my woe), and I still think JD/Cox is the best pairing ever. Of course, Dr Cox and Carla get their moments in canon. :D

[livejournal.com profile] rionaleonheart and [livejournal.com profile] thegreatesthits are the people you want to see for Scrubsfic. Including a crossover where Jack Harkness is admitted into the hospital.

And caffeinated drinks are as ambrosia.

My JD/Cox recs (http://kraken-recs.livejournal.com/6604.html) *g*

I need to pick your brains. Where might I find Doctor Who transcripts for this series and The Christmas Invasion? Am working on a small theory and need the scripts to check.

*hugs*

Yas. Grad school. Do it!

I've only read My Big Breakup in Scrubs, but it was good.

Your fourth temp job in two weeks? Holy moly. Isn't it a huge pain in the bum, chopping and changing like that? But at least there's caffeine!

What do you plan to study in grad school? /nosey

It is a pain, especially finding my way to and around new offices and then changing after a few days... them's the breaks, though, I was probably due for a run of short ones since my last temp job was contracted for 6 weeks and I stayed 7 months.

It'd be a research PhD in astrophysics: the university where I did my undergraduate stuff would obviously be my first choice but there's very little funding (even though the research project I applied for is based off the project I did for my Masters, damn them) so I'm looking at places on the mainland.

Jeepers, I had no idea you too were an astrophysics graduate! There's not a lot of us around...

question: did you find Shaye's cox/jd? Brilliant brilliant brilliant. Only one I've ever read. Or one of the only ones. The first, at least. [livejournal.com profile] fourteenlines.

I seem to have misplaced the link, yeah.
