doyleThree episodes into Invasion of Time, wherein the Fourth Doctor becomes President of Gallifrey right before it gets invaded by a sheet of tinfoil that to my untrained ear seems to be trying desperately to cover up its Belfast accent.
It is brilliance of the highest order, containing as it does Borusa, Leela getting herself a hot Time Lady girlfriend, a look at the TARDIS swimming pool, the sacred plastic inflatable cushion of Rassilon and K9 going all butch. That's my favourite bit, actually, the fact that he seems to have forgotten he's a little metal dog who falls over on uneven surfaces and spends this story going Samuel L Jackson on everyone's ass. He tells the TARDIS off for being a 'stupid machine'and then has sex with it, SRSLY! He snaps "I'm in charge"! And you just know it would have been "I'm in charge, motherfucker" but the BBC were scared of Mary Whitehouse and her ninjas.
