If I admitted I've spent far too much time this weekend watching live action Sailor Moon - and that I'm emotionally involved with all the characters and dying to know where the plot goes - you'd all still respect me, right?

...yeah, I don't respect me either. Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon is awesome omg and I've broken down and ordered the uncut cartoon series off eBay.

Oh! And Tesco, the supermarket of LOVE, had DVDs of the Archie cartoon (including Veronica the Vampire Slayer!) and Return From Gilligan's Island for 97p. I clutched them to me with glee. I'm quite curious to see how Gilligan's Island compares to the mental image I have of it from years of references on the likes of The Simpsons. I will be very sad if the skipper doesn't turn to camera and gurn every time Gilligan does something stupid, with accompanying wa-wa-waaaaah on the soundtrack.

Over Christmas, I spent far too many hours of my life watching Gilligan's Island dubbed into Hindi. There is no greater joy in the universe.

You know, I'm having trouble remembering. I think it wasn't, but it probably wasn't for lack of trying.

So when I get around to watching the 30-odd episodes of live-action PGSM sitting on my harddrive, will I respect myself in the morning? I downloaded it for research! Research! And the torrent was Right There!

(you should watch "Princess Tutu" omg)

Really? :O Aaaaah, that's so cool... what did you write about? I'm intrigued now XD

Now it's out on DVD I so need to get it. Especially with Chris Patton as Fakia in the dub. Aaaaa *Chris Patton fangirl*.

Oh man, PGSM... my friends keep telling me I should watch it but I haven't managed to get hold of it yet, so I haven't. But Luna in it SCARES ME.

Considering I've seen every episode of the anime, read most of the manga, and watched the live-action show as soon as it was available for download via BT... I really don't think I have room to talk. ;-)

I was big-time into the Sailor Moon anime and manga. Haven't seen the live-action show yet (though after reading your post, it seems likely to happen!). :-)

LOL and you have braincells left after watching it? Seriously, my husband and I were curious about it, the stuffed Luna and human Luna scared us away. How is it? And would it be better with Daleks?

Of course. ;) PGSM is awesome! Where are you in the storyline?

Serious icon love!

I'm up to the part where Sailor V's in the hospital and Tuxedo Mask's just had the big fight with Nephrite where he implies Usagi's the Princess. I am intrigued, since I only know in the most basic terms where the story's going (never read the manga, only seen the very early episodes of the cartoon)

Veronica the Vampire Slayer? How is it I've never heard of this? Archie comics were probably my first fandom, even if I didn't know it as such then. Hee hee.
