Found while trawling the web for Doctor Who stuff: A site detailing the scripts that never made it to screen. In future, when presented with 'Lungbarrow is canon because it nearly got made', I will point out that by that reasoning the Master is both the Doctor's brother and part of his psyche, Tyler Durden style. And that Sarah-Jane and Romana and Leela and the Brig are all dead. And that Blackbeard may have been the Doctor's long-lost renegade Time Lord father, Ulysses, and Borusa is his granddad and... let's just say I'm quite glad the Eight TV series never got made, gorgeous and talented though Mr McGann is.

I am far too amused that an unmade Two episode based around that good old sci-fi standby of 'good grief, a planet where WOMEN are in charge! Who could imagine?!' had Jamie saving the day by giving Zoe a good spanking. Ah, the Sixties.

Jamie saving the day by giving Zoe a good spanking.

Heeeeee. I'm sorry they didn't make that one. Captain Mavis!

I think Jamie would have been taking his life in his hands, there. I'm sure Zoe's inventive enough to inflict many torments on a poor be-kilted boy. (Zoe getting spanked, Jamie in drag; kinkiest episode never made? Though Adric was allegedly meant to get spanked in Kinda, though nobody knows if Matthew Waterhouse made that up or not...)

Zoe being given a good spanking! Mmmmmm, I would pay real money to see that one! :D

Hi there

Hi folks, I'm Chris, the webmaster from The Hidden Planet. Thanks for the nice comments about the site. If you are into finding out more about the lost scripts I suggest you check back every once in a while because the site is by no means finished. The next one to be uploaded is a full breakdown of the hilarious 'Doomsday Contract' by Douglas Adam's mate John Lloyd and 'Song of the Space Whale' by creators of 'The Iron legion' Mills and Wagner. Any comments appreciated!

Great site you've got, I'll definitely keep checking it out!

I kind of like what they did with the Master in Scream of the Shalka myself. Shame that the massive changes to the storyline brought by Eccleston (like the destruction of Gallifrey) have completely retconned Richard E. Grant's alternate 9.

I haven't heard that yet, but I love the Master and REG (his brief turn as Ten in Curse of Fatal Death is brilliant) so will have to track it down.

[identity profile] nostalgia-lj.livejournal.com 2006-01-06 08:45 am (UTC)(link)
I've never really been convinced by REG's turns as the Doctor. Maybe it's just because he's some sort of fantasy casting apparently based on him being Posh, English and A Bit Camp? I'm not sure obvious casting can end well with the Doctor, really. Cos, really, who was going "Y'know, we need to get that Scottish guy who shoves ferrets down his trousers, he'd be SMASHING"? And yet Sylv was TEH BRILLIANT.

Umm, "IMHO".

Would that be in the PVC pelmet skirt or the sparkly catsuit?

She'd have turned the tables though and gone Karkus on his kilted arse.

I remain convinced that the reason so much of the Two era was destroyed was that the Assexual Damnit! fanboys had to to have any remotest shadow of a case whatsover, what with the clutching, the handholding, the rolling around, the puppy piles....

[identity profile] nostalgia-lj.livejournal.com 2006-01-06 08:46 am (UTC)(link)
Omg there's that bit where the Doctor and Victoria are clutching each other on the floor and her skirt is all over the place and Jamie's off-camera yelling "I just need to get a better position!"

The Sarah-Jane being dead is a great one to have at hand. But I do like the bit about the Master being part of the Doctor. Is just bizarre.

It all does sound a bit WTF. Poor Paul McGann, he would have been rather great.

Two episode based around that good old sci-fi standby of 'good grief, a planet where WOMEN are in charge!

God, has anyone ever done that plot well? *cries*

[identity profile] drakyndra.livejournal.com 2006-01-06 12:26 pm (UTC)(link)
Futurama. That episode is hysterical. "Death by snu-snu!" *giggles*

Hello! Just saying hi as I've added you via the 'Doctor Who friending frenzy' *waves*. I'm hugely ignorant about Doctor Who pre nine and ten, but am hoping to learn :D Also love Buffy, Angel, Firely, Lost, Black Books etc, and love reading fanfic and generally squeeing over scifi/fantasy stuff, so nice to meet you :)

[identity profile] doyle_sb4.livejournal.com 2006-01-06 06:14 pm (UTC)(link)
*waves* Hello! I'd never seen any DW at all pre-Nine so I'm having to do a massive catch-up on the previous Doctors...

[identity profile] xipuloxx.livejournal.com 2006-01-06 02:34 pm (UTC)(link)
Thanks Doyle, I've heard of a few of these missing stories and was wondering if they were all collected in one place. Now I know!

Zoe getting spanked, hee hee! Although personally I'd rather...er, never mind. ;)

And yes, Lungbarrow is complete cobblers isn't it.

btw, there's a Doyle on Outpost Gallifrey, is that you? I'm xipuloxx there too, big surprise...

[identity profile] doyle_sb4.livejournal.com 2006-01-06 06:15 pm (UTC)(link)
Yep, the OG Doyle is I *g* I need to post more to get my status up to Time Lord...
