For the anal-retentive like me, was just doing some stats from marguerite_26's list.



Most requested pairing was Spike/Xander, with 9. Angel/Spike followed with 7 requests. Five people asked for Wes/Faith.

I wish more people hadn't taken the easy way out.

So many people went with what they were comfortable with.

That's why I did both of my requests.

I can't wait to do another one. If I hosted one until Marg gets ready to do one after the finale, how many people would be interested?

Thanks Doyle! I've been wanted to get on that... I'm glad you beat me to it.

When I was making up the list it was clear that Spike and Wes were the fav's. Curious, did you do any stats for what people wrote or just for what people requested. I wonder if the numbers correspond. Or if people's writing preferences differ from their reading preferences...

I am both a Wesley/Lilah fan, and a Angel/Wesley fan. While I don't mind a little angst, I'll like to read fics that have a happy or at least hopeful ending. Such as I can't see Wesley and Lilah living happily ever after, and in fact I can't see them staying together even if Lilah had not die and there is no Fred. I can however, see Wesley adn Lilah do a Xanya style closure thing years from now.
At roadside tea diner
Wesley: So you are not evil and materialistic anymore?
Lilah: Nope, not anymore. *pause* The evil part that is, not that much, but I still own 30 pairs of shoes.
Wesley: Ah, but close enough.
Lilah: *looks at watch* Have appointment to attend to.
Wesley: Take care.
Lilah: Bye, you too. *hug* (Maybe Wes would even do the temple/hair kiss, it's more affectionate and caring than lips, but not very sexual.)

I mean, years from now when both their rage and despair and dark stuff has relatively faded, I can see this happening, like season 7 spuffy, except not ending in romance at all.

Angel/Wesly however, I can not see a happy healthy relationship without some serious intervention. For one thing, if Angel is too happy, he'll lose his soul. If Angel does not lose his soul, it means that Wesley cannot give him perfect happiness, and that may seems like a small thing, but it's not. I for one would mind, if I found out the ex of present mate makes him/her happier than I can. I can so see Cordy playing Miss Mediator to their fights.
