Quick update, as am still netless and nicking Kevin's computer while he's in the kitchen, for I am thieving and devious. My ethernet connectionmajig should be here by now. Unless I forgot to order or pay for it? Hmm, must check eBay.

I do have four more of the Short Trips books, however, and can confirm [livejournal.com profile] loneraven's claim that the Christmas one contains Four/Eight slash. In verse form. There is snogging. I am dead of bogglement. The same volume has the Best Story Ever where Turlough goes Christmas shopping in Ann Summers. And there's an intriguing bit in one of the Third Doctor ones where Mike Yates is sulking that the Brig won't let him bring his partner, described as his "attractive young friend from Soho" - gender carefully unspecified - to the office party. Terrance Dicks, all is forgiven.

::falls down::

And you know, if I were going to slash the Doctors with each other, I think I'd have gone Four/Nine, not Eight, somehow. And then Five/Ten. Hmm.

Darn, why are those Short Trips books so expensive here in the States? (They all seem to be over $20. Maybe I can find used copies somewhere...)

They're horribly expensive here, too, £15 each (though I'm buying them used from Amazon). But so good. I'm going to read the Four and Romana stories first.

There's a very sweet story in the Companions anthology where Eight goes to Paris during City of Death to follow Romana around being mopey (and rescue the drawing of her from the cafe). The narrative expositions that she was the one companion he would have given up the whole wandering-round-the-universe thing for, if she'd ever asked. It is uber-shippy.

Awwww! I must get that Companions anthology. The Big Finish version of Shada is very shippy for Eight/Romana as well. Eight says things to her like: "I want to take you away from all this!" and "I need you, Romana...and K9," and "Please please please please please, Romana!"

Two/Nine. Two's musical and likes forceful boys (which explains the Docotrs thing with the Brig, I guess) and both thrive within a OT3 including another guy.

Craves Two/Jamie/Zoe meet up with Nine/Rose/Jack so much.

Oh, that would be marvelous!

And suddenly I'm craving some Nine/Brig as well. Maybe Nine/Brig/Jack? Nine/Brig/Ace? :-)

It all needs to be done, though probably with Nine, Jack and Ace going back in time to a younger Brig not married to Doris - as the Brig wouldn't be unfaithful and with the age he'd be now, a threesome would probably kill him.

I've now read the whole poem and it's even more slashtastic than I thought. Eight tries it on with Seven, who tells him "I'm not really that way inclined, try Six"; Six protests his heterosexuality; Eight has a bit of a fumble with Five; Eight talks about what a great kisser Puccini was; Four calls him a sissy; Eight tries to snog Four, misses, gets Three instead.

It is wondrous.

Wow. They should film that, and show it every Christmas! :-)
