I'm marathoning old school Who, the Fourth and Fifth Doctors. I noticed that Romana calls herself a Time Lord at one point - is 'Time Lady' fanon, then? And it's perfectly normal to be a bit in love with the (Anthony Ainley) Master, isn't it? With his beard and high neck thing and the constant chuckling? Just me? And Master/Nyssa wouldn't be bad and wrong *at all* even though he's occupying her father's body? Oh, it would? Oh well. Guess that goes for Peri and her stepdad too...
I need to go to bed and not stay up watching the rest of Planet of Fire, even though it seems to confirm my theory that the companions have a clause in their contract that says they have to get their kit off on their last appearance. Terminus: Nyssa loses her skirt and wanders around in a vest and knickers. Planet of Fire: Turlough strips down to some very tight, very short shorts, then takes them off and dives into the sea in a shirt and swimming trunks. QED. And Peri's got it ass-backwards, so she spends her first episode in a tiny pink bikini.
ETA: I have a notoriously awful record with this type of meme, but it'll be interesting to see what results. Give me a pairing, character, (or gen if you so prefer), a prompt (whether it's just one word, a line of lyrics, a mood -- whatever) and I'll write you one line of fic.
Ohhhh....
Darlin - you've opened yourself up now!!! lol....
For a flash down memory lane:
Pairing: Stuart/Vince
Character: Vince
Prompt: The moment he knew...

A pairing? Captain Jack meeting a past companion (male or Ace if gen). Er, would Turlough be too evil?

Leaving aside all the cliches, Jack really did like uniforms - okay, so *school* uniforms weren't his usual thing but he was an adaptable guy, and it seemed like the thing to do; and anyway, it was fun to watch the reaction when he carefully undid the kid's tie, how he looked ready to run but didn't even try to pull away.

And ooh, write me a line of Willow/Xander?

It's kind of a sudden moment of perfect clarity, only there's nothing clear about looking at his best friend, his Willow, and seeing her in this whole new and slightly frightening way. Sudden works, though. Oh, boy, is it sudden.

Thank you!

Although Master/Adric really didn't seem that hard to believe, as I was watching those episodes. I didn't want to see it, mind you, but it was sort of there.
...It's entirely possible that I firmly believe the Master would sleep with anyone if it served some purpose of his. It's equally possible that I think that's a good thing.

Character: Wash
Prompt: first flight

The edge of atmo burned blue, deepening to black; he squinted at the screen, flipped what he hoped were the right switches and offered up prayers to every god he'd ever heard of and a few he made up.
And then he saw stars.

Thanks doyle! That was awesome!

Romana II doesn't undress in her final episode...at least, not that I recall, and I think I would!

Four/Romana II!!! (I am nothing if not predictable...)

Dammit. I haven't seen it, I was living in hope...
Hmm, Four/Romana II. This was meant to be a line, and then expanded. So, City of Death mini-thing.
**
"This guidebook," Romana said, peering at it seriously, "says that Paris is the city of love."
"Does it, does it?" The Doctor was half listening, far more interested in how she was keeping her hat at such an improbable angle. Pins, no doubt, unless she'd rigged up a gravity device of some sort. "Well, it's a terribly romantic city, Paris. You can hardly cross the street without somebody trying to kiss you or whisk you away for a debauched weekend in Saint Moritz. Although that only happened to me the once."
She was awfully pretty when she frowned. It was a surprising thought, and followed by the equally surprising one that she was awfully pretty all of the time.
"I've been here for nearly three days," she said, closing the book with a snap. "And not even one person's tried to kiss me."
Well, there was only one sensible response to that.
