Hello internets

Wow, it's easy to get out of the way of posting. Especially when you have nothing especially interesting to say. Err... let's see, what have I been doing apart from watching old school Doctor Who - allow me to pimp
who_otp, where no pairing is too bad and wrong - and writing a
femslash_minis assignment that keeps trying to be Dawn/Giles, somewhat disqualifing it as femslash.
Ooh, I made a car. Well, not made in the sense of putting it together. Because that would be bad, given my track record at school in anything that involved me being practical. But I designed and set up a vehicle wrap for my boss's company car. He wanted bright. Dear lord, it's bright. I'll be picspamming some time this week.
I managed to miss Lost on TV. Which is not a problem since I have them all on disc, I just need to sit down and watch the damn pilot and the important Shannon bits because I have a Boone/Shannon fic I need to get out of the way before my brain will let me do anything. Ditto the Roseficathon story I've started three times and which has starred three different Doctors thus far.
(Speaking of Classic Who, which I think I might have been a few paragraphs up, though am too lazy to scroll back - whyfore the Horns of Nimon hate? I've only seen the first two episodes but it has a frankly hilarious monster, Romana in a riding outfit and the Doctor giving mouth-to-mouth to K9. Stupid, yes, but it's vastly more entertaining than The Ark in Space, In My Humble Probably Deserves To Be Ousted By Right-Thinking Fandom Opinion.
On that note,
gwynnega, you seen that one? Because Romana's so loved-up it's not even true. And she gets her own sonic screwdriver, which makes Four feel very inadequate.)

on 2005-08-15 03:17 pm (UTC)You designed a car. I am inordinately jealous.

on 2005-08-15 03:34 pm (UTC)The Horns of Nimon is ridiculously cheesy, granted, but it's fun.
Of course, while I can identify stupid things in episodes, I can't think of a single episode of the series, classic or new, that I just hate. Even the more painful bits of Trial of a Time Lord.

on 2005-08-15 05:42 pm (UTC)The Doctor hugging K9 as they're about to die - and producing a 'first place' dog show rosette from somewhere - is very cute, too.
Good times all round.

on 2005-08-15 06:43 pm (UTC)Wait until you see "State of Decay," in which, when Romana comes up with some brilliant deduction, Four tells her, "You are wonderful," and she looks entirely too pleased... :-)
