Richard Whiteley died. I didn't even know he was sick; he's one of those people you assume is going to be around forever telling crap jokes and supervising Countdown. Poor Carol.

It said on the news "our sympathies are with his partner..." and I had a weird moment of cognitive dissonance when they said Christine, because I was instinctively expecting 'Carol'. (Must join you in not RPFing...)
