Say I have a vid which I've made in movie maker 1 - I want to fade out the video and audio at the end. How would such a technological feat be accomplished? (I can't download WMM2 for some reason...)

How hardcore are you feeling? You can do that with free software (even without WMM2) but it requires a little work.
